Waterloo and Crosby theatre company dedicate themselves to developing talent in the community and are making a come-back from financial struggles in recent times.

After celebrating its 37th Annual Christmas
Panto, the company are seeking out budding
actors and actresses from ages 8-85 for their new
musical productions.

The company was founded in 1982 and is based
in Crosby and Waterloo. In the past few years,
the organisation has struggled to fund rehearsal
and performance spaces due to increasing rent
prices and government cuts. For a period they
moved to Southport after the prices of their
Litherland venue inflated.
Chairman of WCTC, Nicci Henshaw, says:
"We always ensure that each venue has
wheelchair access and I was shocked that
there were no appropriate venues between
Crosby and Southport. We soon realised that we are a community organisation and have moved back to our roots."
Bootle Mayor, Cllr Dave Robinson is now the President of the organisation which means they can stay connected and informed about community activities. Robinson frequently invites foster children, children in care and those from disadvantaged backgrounds to watch the show's dress rehearsals and meet the cast for free.

Waterloo and Crosby theatre company have a whole host of events coming up this year and are inviting people from all ages to attend. Their Panto, Cinderella holds its last show on 16 Dec but An Evening of Christmas Music is coming up on 19th & 20th Dec with free mulled wine and mince pies included. Sing, dance and act your
way through the Winter period.
